Madonna brought the entirety of London’s O2 to a standstill last night with a powerful speech in honor of World AIDS Day.
The superstar gave a speech in tribute to her ‘dearest, greatest, most amazing, lovely friends of mine that died of AIDS so many years ago’.
She also said the entire family of her adopted son died of AIDS.
‘It’s just recently, it’s not a disease that has gone away and we need to remember that,’ she said.
‘So lets give a big thanks to people who continue to fight to try to find a cure for this disease and let’s acknowledge all the people who have passed, who have fought to raise awareness. We shall overcome one day.’
Madonna then led the entire stadium to sing one of her biggest hits, Like A Prayer, in tribute.
